Join us for a very casual afternoon of learning, sharing, and exploring the amazing world of Artificial Intelligence in a relaxed and friendly setting! Whether you've never tried AI before or you're already using it every day, you'll leave with fresh knowledge, inspiration, and ideas. Attendees will receive full access to all the day's content so you can explore at your own pace later.
Logistics: We'll have light snacks available. Please bring whatever you want to drink, and feel free to bring an optional snack to share. We'll have a 15-minute break between each 1-hour session. After the sessions, you're welcome to stay, enjoy the beach, and hang out with new friends!
2:00 - 3:00 PM — Session 1: Understanding AI
Get comfortable with the language of AI and how it works. Learn basic concepts, key terms, and what's really going on behind the scenes when AI answers your questions.
3:15 - 4:15 PM — Session 2: Exploring the AI Toolbox
Discover the types of AI tools available today, what they're good at, and how to match the right tool to the task — whether at work, at home, or for personal projects.
4:30 - 5:30 PM — Session 3: Applying AI in Real Life
See AI in action! Volunteers (including your hosts) will share short demos of how they've used AI for creative projects, productivity, and problem-solving.
5:45 PM — Bonus Optional Session: AI Investing Project
Join the discussion on an experimental group project — pooling our spare change to let one or more AIs invest in the real world, then tracking and comparing the results over time.
